Forestry work is still ongoing. Check out our facebook page for the latest updates. However the work does not affect the blue or red mountain bike trails (Verderers and Freeminers) or the family cycle trail. ADVANCED NOTICE - The Wye Dean Car Rally takes on Saturday 12th November and the centre and trails are closed on that day.
From 12th September tree harvesting will be carried out in the area around the Cycle Centre as part of the Forestry Commissions normal forest management. During this time, the following trails will be closed or diverted during weekdays only: Freeminer trail: Closed from 15th September. Corkscrew: Closed from the 15th September. GBU: Closed from the 15th September. Launchpad: Closed from the 15th September. Pushup Path: Closed from the 15th September. Verderers' trail: Will have a small diversion near the start. Freeminers' Extension: open as usual We then hope to open these trails and close others as harvesting work progresses but we will always keep at least 2 downhill and the Verderers trail open. We aim to keep disruption to a minimum and keep you informed of closures. All trails will be open as normal on weekends but there maybe some tree brash or damage to the trails. Please help us by adhering to all signage and harvesting staff during this period so we can get the trails open as quickly as possible. Please check the FC website for updates.
There is a road closure on the B4234 between Parkend and Cannop Ponds until September 2016. If coming from the south follow Fancy Road up the hill from Parkend and then turn left towards Speech House. This will add about 5 minutes to your journey.
