We are based at the very start of all the Forest of Dean bike trails (Gloucestershire) – our nearest towns are Coleford, Monmouth, Ross-On-Wye, Cinderford, and Lydney.
The Forest of Dean is easily accessible by road from all directions via the M4/48, M5, M50, A40, A48 or A49.
We are easy to find on the B4234 (New Road) – the main north to south road through the Forest – look for the brown Cycle Centre signs.
Mainline trains are via Newport or Gloucester to Lydney.
OS Grid Reference: SO 607 125 Post Code for Sat Nav is GL16 7EH but check the map as this may put you in the centre of Coleford or at the cottages down the road.
Car Parking is managed by the Forestry Commission. A parking ticket can be obtained from the machine in the centre of the car park.
Currently parking charge is £4.00-£7.0 depending on the length of visit and whether it is off peak (outside school holidays and weekends) or peak ticket. This ticket is valid on the day of purchase at Mallards Pike Lake, Symonds Yat Rock, Cannop Cycle Centre and Beechenhurst Lodge. Discovery passes are available for £30.00 from the Cycle Centre. The pass covers free car parking on all four sites (Cycle Centre, Beechenhurst, Mallards Pike, Symond’s Yat) for one year. A permit is issued by registration number.
